Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated film GodFather which marks the Tollywood debut of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set for release on October 5th. Mohan Raja directed the movie pre-release event of which was celebrated in Anantapur in presence of the film’s unit and a massive crowd. They had to wrap up the event bit early, due to heavy rains.
Chiranjeevi commenced his speech by expressing his condolences to superstar Krishna and Mahesh Babu for their personal loss.
“It’s raining, whenever I come to Rayalaseema. It rained when I campaigned for my party in Pulivendula and also during the shoot of Indra’s rain song. I feel it as the blessing of God. I watched Lucifer and liked it. But Ram Charan is the one who suggested remaking it. He then recommended Mohan Raja’s name to direct the movie. He was the director for Dhruva’s original. I felt it’s the right thought. He’s a youngster with contemporary thoughts. We worked on the subject for nearly one year. He wanted a big star to play my Dalapathi. He suggested Salman Khan’s name. Charan took responsibility again and called Salman who accepted to do the movie. Charan wanted another big support in the production. Then came Super Good RB Choudhary garu.
Nayanthara’s is a challenging character. Satya Dev is one of the finest actors. He’s a hidden gem and I feel proud to found this gem. He will have a great future. Puri Jagannadh played a YouTuber who has frustration on the society. Salman Khan’s grace, masculine looks, and fights will be a big asset. Prabhu Deva master choreographed Thaar Maar song superbly. Thaman’s music is another big asset. This film’s re-recording is next level. He gave elevations even to the scenes where I don’t have dialogues. You’ll definitely like Najabhaja song as theme for a fight scene.
My friend Nagarjuna’s The Ghost and youngster Ganesh’s Swathimuthyam are releasing on the same date. I hope, all the movies will become superhits. Hits and flops are not in our hands. But I’ve a regret of disappointing the audience. GodFather is the answer for it. This movie is a silent explosion. I may not have a godfather in the industry. But, every audience who encouraged me is the real GodFather.”
Chiranjeevi also mouthed a powerful political dialogue from the movie.
