Trivikram’s maiden directorial, Nuvve Nuvve, completes 20 years of its release today. He is currently one of the top directors in Telugu cinema. He started off his career as a writer, and after that, he ventured into the direction. As a writer, Trivikram wrote many successful films like Nuvve Kavali, Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Malleshwari, and Manmadhudu. As a director, he made a successful debut with Nuvve Nuvve.
Starring Tarun and Shriya in the lead roles, this romantic comedy celebrates 20 years of its release today. Nuvve Nuvve was released on October 10, 2002. Tarun was a happening hero at that time. Thus, there was a good buzz around this movie. Upon its release, Nuvve Nuvve went on to become a super hit at the box office.
The romantic track between Tarun and Shriya, Trivikram’s classic one-liners, Sunil’s impeccable comedy, MS Narayana’s hilarious episode, Prakash Raj-Shriya’s emotional track, and Koti’s soothing music played major roles in Nuvve Nuvve’s success. Many of its scenes and songs are still played and enjoyed by Telugu audiences. Such was its impact.
After his successful directorial debut, Trivikram took almost three years gap and came up with Athadu in 2005. It was not a big hit in theatres but remained a classic after its satellite premiere. In 2008, Trivikram came up with Jalsa. He became a star director with this film.
Later, he went on to make Khaleja, Julayi, Atharintiki Daredi, S/o Satyamurthy, A.Aa, Agnyathavaasi, Aravinda Sametha, and Ala…Vaikunthapurramuloo. Most of his films are super hits at the box office. He has very few failures.
Now, he has teamed up with Superstar Mahesh Babu for SSMB 28. It is slated for a 2023 release.
“Amma Avakai Anjali eppudoo bore kottavu” is a famous dialogue from the film, and just like the dialogue, the film also never results in boredom. On this special occasion, the film is being screened at the AMB Cinemas today in the presence of the cast and crew.
